No Sound in Kodi

I was watching TV streams in Kodi. Everything was working well. Then I did a movie search in Exodus, started a movie and had no sound. I tried other streams, including the one I was just watching but now there is no sound there either. I went to the home page and get the snapping sound when moving about so the connection to my amp is okay. I tried everything I can think of but cannot get the sound back in Kodi.
Any suggestions?
